Deutsche Funkturm is a key player in developing infrastructure for German mobile network operators, broadcasters, operators of radio relays, and the radio networks of authorities and other institutions.

Deutsche Funkturm, founded in 2002 as a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, has had American company DigitalBridge and Canadian company Brookfield as additional owners since 2023. With 36,200 antenna sites, it is Germany's largest provider of radio infrastructure. The group of companies, which since July 1, 2025, comprises DFMG Holding GmbH, DFMG Deutsche Funkturm GmbH, DFMG Corporate Functions GmbH, and DFMG Engineering GmbH & Co. KG, has been responsible for the expansion of infrastructure for German mobile network providers, broadcasters, operators of microwave radio links, and the radio networks of public authorities and other institutions. The Deutsche Funkturm Group is represented nationwide and is headquartered in Leverkusen.

As a full-service provider of active and passive infrastructure, Deutsche Funkturm acquires, plans, realizes, operates, and markets radio sites throughout Germany. Its portfolio includes towers, masts, rooftop sites, and small cells. The company is a major contributor to the development of infrastructure for mobile communications providers in Germany. Its current focus is on LTE and 5G.

For the European Aviation Network (EAN), the world's first radio network for airplanes that combines satellite communication and LTE, Deutsche Funkturm acquired, planned, and built the entire ground-based network with about 300 transmitting stations in 30 European countries.
